There was a time when having a teasmade at the side of the bed was all the rage! It meant waking up to the sound of an alarm in the morning but also finding a steaming cup of tea on your bedside cabinet at the same time. No need to wander down to the kitchen. You could have the first refreshing cuppa of the day sitting up in the comfort of your bed.
Things have moved on since then. With plenty of change from £100 you could buy a breakfast maker. There are different models around but most appear to be a toaster, frying pan, steamer, grill and poacher all at the same time. Place it next to your teasmade and the breakfast maker can toast a couple of slices of bread, grill a tomato or two, boil or poach an egg and fry a few slices of mushrooms. All while you doze lazily under the comfort of your duvet. There are settings and buttons on the machine to vary the amount of toasting and to boil an egg just the way you like it. It’s meant to be easy enough for a child to use and the machine will automatically turn off when it has finished cooking.
So, no need to keep a cooked breakfast for Sundays only. With a breakfast maker saving you time in the morning, you could have a cooked breakfast every day of the week.
