Some communal areas are better n white, and that’s because white’s a colour you can’t really argue with. It never seems to look tacky but sometimes white painted rooms lack a bit of personality. That shouldn’t be the case in your bedroom, and it should be as personalized and bright as you want it to be, after all it is your room.
There are many different ways to brighten up your bedroom, and it may only take a lick of paint or carefully chosen wallpaper, but either way a bedroom should posses personality and that can come through when you choose your favourite colour.
If you want to brighten up your bedroom yet you want to stick with your plain white walls, and then painted furniture, shelving and a bright carpet will make your room stand out. Try to choose a colour that you’re not going to grow tired though, because a colour theme should always be chosen to last.
