Is your office laid out in the correct way?

When working from a desk it is important that your posture is correct. Sitting incorrectly for hours upon end can leave you with back issues or other aches and pains that could cause you problems in the long run. Whether you are working from an office building or a home office, you need to ensure that you desk, chair and storage units such as drawers and filing cabinets are all in the correct position.

If you are considering have a new fitted office installed in your home then the company that is designing the office, should be able to advise you as to what is the best layout to have. Simple things such as the height of your chair and the angle of you monitor can make a big difference. To maintain good desk posture while typing, it’s recommended that you keep it directly in front of you with a gap of about 4-6 inches at the front of your desk where you can rest your wrists. Adjust your chair so your forearms are straight and level with the floor any try and avoid crossing your legs.
